Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly CC Foundation

How's everybody doing?
It's been a long while since I last updated a review and I truly miss chatting with you girls.
Since this is a little 'comeback' I'm making, I decided to review a new product:)

That's right! CC Cream plus Foundation equals CC Foundation. The second I spot the keywords Jelly, Aqua, CC, and Foundation together on a product, I immediately drag this into my cart and check out with no hesitation.

Part of my regular make-up routine includes applying my CC Cream from Tony Moly as a base and brushing on my MUFE foundation (or Laneige Snow Soothing BB Cushion) to finish it off. Now here comes the official 2-in-1 product! Can't skip it... I just can't.

You might recognized their 'Aqua Petit Jelly' line from their famous jelly BB cream that is widely raved about. With the success of their BB Cream, Holika Holika also jumped on the wagon and released their own CC Cream under the 'Aqua Petit Jelly' line and of course... this CC Foundation as well.

I love the polka dot pattern and definitely a fan of their packaging with the squeezable tube attached to a pump! Just toss it into your bag and you're good to go if you're planning on doing some retouching through out the day. Also, the SPF25 PA++! I'm not quite a sunblock person, but it's definitely a bonus knowing that I don't have to add an extra step into my make-up routine since this product has it already!

The CC Foundation comes in two shades. The shade I chose was 01 Bright Beige, and the other one being 02 Natural Beige. I had a hard time deciding between the two shade because I was afraid that Bright Beige might be too light for me and Natural Beige might not provide enough of the brightening effect. Well,  at the end, I chose Bright Beige and I'm glad I did.

I personally don't really care about the ingredients and such, but here's the ingredients list in English for those of you out there who would like to take a look:)

I absolutely love the light and watery texture of the CC Foundation! It blends on the skin so smoothly it doesn't feel like you're wearing anything! Most important of all, it doesn't have that sticky texture that a lot of BB Creams and CC creams has.

The lasting power is amazing! I wore this in the morning before work (8:30am) and it stays on well even after I got off from work at about 5pm. Also, it kept my oiliness level down through out the day and it really does live up to its sebum-control expectation.

I especially love the light and pleasant scent... it reminds me of Etude House Baby Choux Base in Peach, except this one is more pleasant smelling and... well, light. I personally don't own the BB Cream from the 'Aqua Petit Jelly' line, but my friend told me that it smells just like like that... which makes a lot of sense since they're under the same line of the brand.

Alright, enough of the praises. Here comes the critical Nineteen :)
First of all, I'm quite disappointed with this product because of the sheer coverage. I expect a foundation to have at least medium coverage but... not this one. Also, as moisturizing as the 'Aqua' part sounds, this CC Foundation gave me quite a few dry patches on my forehead and around my nose.

Now, I'm definitely not a fan of mug shot. I try to avoid it, but I guess this is the best way to show you the comparison. I had to pull my hair back so that my camera can capture the difference better. Check out my 'With and without CC Foundation Face' below.

Like I said, unfortunately this is just another CC Cream with a tab bit better coverage. But I'm definitely loving the fact that it covers my large pores so well! I've never had any products that could completely cover my pores but this... is magical. Alright, maybe I exaggerated a little bit, but it really does a great job at filling in my pores. :) Since It also has the CC Cream feature, it does a great job at balancing out uneven skin tone and brightening up the entire face as well! Love it!

That is all I have for you today! I have a few more new stuff to review and hopefully I'll get them all out as soon as possible alright. Thanks for reading and as usual, please leave a comment or question below and I will get back to you as soon as possible!
